I was just in Vegas for the weekend. I played some Pai Gow and I just thought of something after I arrived home. My understanding is that Pai Gow is played with a 53 card deck. That is the standard 52 cards plus a joker. But I realized that the dealer dealt out seven card hands to six players, plus one for him(her)self and another one that you could use if you wanted another hand so you could have two hands. Anyway that adds up to 8 hands of seven cards. That is a total of 56 cards. Where does the extra three cards come from?
